In St. Petersburg on June 1 will be an operation dedicated to the Day
of the Defense of Children

Goals of the operation:
Draw the attention of society, the press, and the authorities to the
problem of saving the lives of unborn children.
Formulate in the consciousness of youth a positive relation to family
life and childbirth, provide a visual representation of the fact that even in
the early stages of pregnancy there is in the womb a tiny human being,
and that is is essential to preserve life for this person.
Distribute information about the St. Petersburg Branch of the "Zhizn'" Center.
Description of the operation:
On June 1, the Day of the Defense of Children, a group of volunteers
(predominantly Orthodox youth 10-20 years old), with 2 or 3 people per
group, stood outside subway stations, schools, educational institutions,
and other places where people congregate. On their chests they wore
signboards: "Today is the Day of the Defense of Children".
They gave balloons to the children, and brochures to the youth and
adults. On the ablloons were the logo of our Center -
a baby in his mother's womb with the slogan:

The brochures had on one side a visual representation of the stages of
intrauterine development with color pictures, and the legend "Save the child!"
On the other side was a portrayal of a map of Russia, a child's drawing,
showing a family with many children, a photograph of children, and a poem:

The time has come to create a family
Save Russia -
Bear children,
And educate them in purity.
".
